I thought you might appreciate my description of the Djinn king, Asmodeus, in his true form. I'm on the last chapter of Demon Born.
I didn’t know what Ifrit looked like in their natural state, or even if there was a natural state for Djinn. I did know that Asmodeus no longer looked human, or even demonic, as I defined either species. Only partially corporeal, he looked more like an oil fire of roiling angry smoke and flame, like lightning in a bottle, barely contained. All that remained of the refined, aristocratic Ifrit king I’d come to trust were his huge barbed wings and his brilliant black eyes, filled now with savagery and spite. He hovered, rather than stood, his changing form like a tornado filled with angry, flying debris.
